LFW - Ziad Ghanem

Ziad Ghanem A/W 2011 catwalk show, this is the show I've been waiting since the start of fashion week. And I got to say, it was everything I was hoping to see and beyond!

The opening dress is the best. model was raised and waving the green feather fan, it is one fashion moment, surely everyone agree because we were all screaming for it!

I love his skilful way of using these soft material to create such graphic vision. And I say it's a fashion show, it really is one show! Dancers walking down the runway, the beautiful move brings life to the dress and a stunning artistic performance.

LFW (Fun Winter!)

When you doing exhibition for A/W fashion, you can actually feel the winter air around you. Though it is very cold in London (nothing like the spring summer season like it should be),  fashion people can always find some fun with it.

The neo Paris hat is such an eye-catching piece for Piers Atkinson's newest collection. Piers even developed this power pack, show you can wear it with light on for 3-hours! I would like to see Lady Gaga wearing neon 'Born This Way' on stage; so doable, right? Or Anne Dello Russo with ADR light on sitting in front row? (I had these images in my head since I heard about it is wearable!)

The other one mostly talked about is Piers' iconic cherry hat, IN BLACK!! Yay, god know how long I've been waiting for this!! So far, we've seen red and gold on ADR, I'm guessing we'll see the black version showing in front row soon?

The other greatest fun I found in Somerset House is definitely Yang Du's new collection! Normally I like clothes in black and red, but I cannot resist the colourful fun Yang Du created. Yang surely brings the knitwear to another level. Functional, fun, and sculpture art!! You can't ignore this elephant in the room!

My personal favourite got to be the piggy with the amazing lace bra. I'm giving a big wow to this, especially to the piggy nose. it's so exact and cute! The whole collection is irresistible. Bright up yourself in the tough winter with this! I'm surely getting one of them, just I can't decided yet. I like Yang Du's design because they have such character and you can see the young heart inside her.

Piers Atkinson Exhibition / Party at Franny's

This season, despite showing in Somerset House for London Fashion Week, Piers also did his exhibition showcasing the latest collection in Soho, together with photographer Morgan White who also shot his look book for the season. First of all, I should say big big thanks to Nathan from Franny's, not only providing the space for the exhibition, but being really helpful and nice through the whole thing. (p.s: omg, the pizzas are so damn great that win over the fashion diet, I think I've wolfed down a few slices. oops...)

Title 'Paris' for the A/W11 collection, inspired by the night life, navy colour theme, neo light, feather, tassels, and the signature glitter / sparks. I like the collection as it's fun and glam!

Cherry band up-grade! I like it in black, a little bit devilish yet very cute don't you think? Sexy lips embroidered by Miss Rosemary Beard.

Finally, I think Lola (yap, our sexy manikin even got a name.) got styled up for a new winter trend. Having such knitwear, who will feel ever feel cold again? LOL

Exhibition will open 2 more days on 21st & 22nd, February at Franny's Pop-Up London, 11-13 Frith Street, W1D 4RB. (Opens to public | 11:00 - 18:00)

LFW - Ashley Isham

Time really flies, the last London Fashion Week seems to be finished just last week; there you go, the A/W collection is showing now! Today's show is the A/W 11 collection by Ashley Isham, set in On|Off. All models were wearing one of Piers Atkinson special creation for the show. One feminine collection, I'm sure many of the girls love those floaty long trail dress wish such bright colour; give a bit warmth in the coming winter?

London Fashion Week, here we go again! This season, milliner Piers Atkinson is not only exhibit in Somerset House, also he is setting up his latest collection exhibition in Soho alongside fabulous stylist Kim Howells and photographer Morgan White! Showing in Pop-Up Gallery as the same time as fashion week, so those who are looking for amazing headpieces which are wild and fun like those as seen on Lady Gaga or Anna Dello Russo, remember to check out the exhibition! (Because we are actually having a bigger collection than Somerset House. LOL)

effing Valentine's Day

When every...couple is so exciting about the so-called romantic Valentine's Day, the only important thing I look forward to in February is actually fashion week. Under a week time, London Fashion Week will be on, and I'm so exciting about it, 'cause I like winter clothes instead of summer. I sort of have a thing about jackets and hats (why do you think I work for the great milliner Piers Atkinson? He's funny and good to work with and he makes beautiful hats!!)
Back to the points, for those who has a valentine, get a room, please. It's actually annoying to see people stick together on street. Not because I don't have a valentine, I don't even want one. I'm too busy for my final major project that I don't even have to time to care if there's someone cares about me. Plus, dating involved a lot of money spending, I rather spend more cash on me than on someone else.

sneak peak A-Z

Freakie (in Rachel Zoe fall 2011 RTW) & Fluffie  enjoying their afternoon tea.

FMP (final major project) is one bitch. The time is just seems not enough, not to mention I need to finish earlier because works need to be printed as books. I enjoy spending my time developing Freakie, though the process is pain in the arse. As this whole branding thing seems to go on and on, I just come up with this idea that I am doing a A-Z book in Freakie version!(you know, those books you learn about A for Apple while you're kid.) It's straight forward to expressing her love & hate; even better than a comic of her! And who can tell this idea clicked while I'm writing my grocery shopping list. LOL

Look book shoot

Today is the look book photo shoot for Piers Atkinson A/W 2011 millinery collection. Modelling by Nikole Ivanova, look inspired by Louis Brook. Amazingly we managed to do the shoot very calmly despite our normal stressful studio days. I love the soft light and the look, and on top of that, the brilliant hats of course. I didn't get chance to say this to Nikole, but I think she looks stunning in that look (plus that tattoo on the back of her neck, LOL)

Credits and the look book will be released later.
