Ashish Catwalk Show (LFW)

Due to the great service of BT, there is no internet at new home at the moment, so my news is really outdate as I concern. Still, what needs to be done is done. The last day of London Fashion Week, the team went to see Ashish catwalk show featuring Piers Atkinson's hats. Pixie Lott also sat in the front row.

Baseball capas and feathers headpieces are creation by Piers Atkinson.

And I was randomly interviewed by I don't know where is she from pretty lady while our pack is waiting for the show. The effect of we nobodies wearing gogeous hats maybe? I was glad I did do a bit advertisment for our team, but I seriously think I might kill myself if I see the video on youtube.

London Fashion Week - NEWGEN & Stephen Jones

As an assistant who work for a milliner, of course I did go check out the Stephen Jones. It is lovely, his style is always so elegant. They are so fit for ascot party.
And for sure, I like the black collection, I love my black. LOL

I love this one, the girly rose presented in a strong way.

Lovely girl Eleanor is very good at her job, I get all permisson for photos and asnwer just before I ask; and she sure look nice with Stephen's hat!

NEWGEN sponsored by Topshop is also one of the best from London Fashion Week, new talent designers always inspiring.

Chinese designer Yang Du is also friend of Piers Atkinson, her designs been on some Hong Kong pop singers. I'm impressed by her bold idea of the cartoonly print with the great use of colour, they are just fun and edgy to look and wear!

Designer Fannie Schiavoni's work is very eye-catching, I am sure you know the work once you know the name, signiture style is one of the most important thing you need in the industry today. And how can you not notice it when the designs been on Lady Gaga and Rihanna?

London Fashion Week (pt. 2)

On Sunday 19th Sep, it was wedding for a customer who made one of our biggest order this season. A gorgeous wedding with 60 of Piers Atksinson's headpieces set in Bayswater. Wedding setting is beyond crazy but very inspirational. Some of the girl get to first wear the new collection. The best part of it though, it's not about they made a huge order, it's how they really like our creation. When I see how happy they are with the headpieces, I would say that few madness sewing weeks are worth it.

It sure was a busy day on that Sunday, back to Somerset House, it's the presentation of fashion film by London base Hong Kong designer J. Maskrey. Feathuring headpieces by Piers Atkinson for J.Maskrey.

Finally, sorry I'm late, the release of the look book poster! Model Chloe is a new face from Storm and sure she was so sweet and nice to work with through out the shooting day.

London Fashion Week

One of the biggest week of the year - London Fashion Week! This year, I am continuing to be part of the team for milliner, Piers Atkinson. First day is not too busy, buyers are on their way, so weekend will be the busiest time. BFC catwalk show space is away from the designer exhibition area, instead of surrounded by them like last season. We get a better area, I think everyone like their new exhibit area actually.

It is practically a garden of what we are having on our stand. I almost can't stop myself to bring in picnic mat and a lunch box to enjoy the airy space with the green and flora. LOL. Designer claimed this season's idea is about motherhood, and inspired by the garden.

I always love the crazy piece huge piece from each of Piers' collection. I love the French feeling of it, how he turn Napoleon style to such feminine hat.

Audrey style go Eastern. I like it, but my head is too small to carry that.

Part of Piers' collection is also going to Paris Fashion Week vie Vauxhall Fashion Scout. I'm predicting some pieces on Lady Gaga?

On the designer showrooms area, I also found some eye-catching design. Lucky that they actually do wholesales only, or I could have broke in a day. Accessories is the biggest part in the showroom area, I have my eyes on a Japanese designer, Miwako Yoshioka. The amazing part is, Japanese designer actually created something quite British, which I like very, very much.

The elegant, vintage like feeling of these little pendants swept me off my feet.

(More info and photos following up through London Fashion Week. Stay tune for updates.)

Counting down to LFW!

Here we go again; time to another London Fashion Week! Time does pass speed-light fast, the last season of LFW feel just finish a short while. Today, we are setting up for the Piers Atkinson's S/S 2011 collection. As collection is growing bigger, it feels like hell just to arrange the presentation. In the end, though, it is so brilliant and the whole team love it very much.

Special thanks to Alun Davies for helping to set up the stand, and all the props for the stand!

Welcome to visit the stand during fashion week, from 17th-21st September, in Somerset House.

2010 MTV Video Music Awards

When music channel come to the point of way too many that you can't even count them all, how MTV still remain it's status? I have been thinking about it for a while, even thought I've talk to my boss about how crappy all those music they're playing on TV, I ended up watching the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). First of all, because I am curious about Lady Gaga with the meat. (yea, RAW MEAT). Secondly, it does have some nice performance from time to time.

I got to admit that this is the bit I shout out cute! Thought I wonder does the DJ feel comfortable at all. It also remind me about one of the headpiece from Piers Atkinson's AW08 collection.

Mickey got a brother maybe?

There are so many horrible music video nominated through out the night, but Florence And The Machine sort of save the night, to me at least. Some live performance feel good watching it live, but some are better on TV. By shooting from above, it gave the best angle for the performing layout.

She does look like some sort of goddess in a ancient worship ceremony; especially with that epic voice and a dress flowing like that.

So, I already know Lady Gaga dress in meat, the only thing I don't get is, she SIT in it? (That's when Usher's OMG come in the background.OMG is not even enough, OMFG?!) I have seen ANTM done photo-shoot as model dress up in meat so did Gaga for the latest issue of Vogue Hommes Japan, meat for a shoot, I can handle it, actually wearing it? I'm not too sure about it. But that is also the thing makes me like Lady Gaga, she is truely crazy about creativity and fashion. You can see any pop star go mad with dress in concert and music video, but you never see one dress up so 500% and 24/7! Can you imagine the time and effort she put in for those look? She is like a surreal figure all I can say. Well done the Haus of Gaga.

The Mayor's Thames Festival

The mayor's Thames Festival is held from today (Sat 11th Sep) to tomorrow (Sun 12th Sep) along the riverside. I started from Waterloo just under London Eye today. Zones been divided, main stage for music performance, stands and moving truck for food is no doubt, I hate myself for eating so much before this so I can't have the Spanish churros (dang it!) It is like mixture of Sunday Up Market from Brick Lane and Borough Market; which I am sure everyone can that is good. There is a part for 'Eyes On Korea' event, introducing Korean Film Night and a bit of their culture, also another section for Polish food and performance.

For people who miss today, I suggest you go in the afternoon tomorrow, chill out a bit, light food for dinner, and join the the fire work and night carnival at night!

London Next Top Tranny

There, it was my first time to see the London Next Top Tranny last night, a tranny competition hosted by Fabulous Rusella in Bethnal Green's Working Men's Club. What a night that I feel I do not deserve to be a female. The guys (or should I say girls) are really just define and fab! Especially the host, Rusella, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I don't see any man who wouldn't want to have Rusella as his girlfriend.

The host & DJ, love is in the air? They look just gorgeous!

Trannies and the host.

(Special thanks to Miss Ivy Jingwen Sun providing photos of the night.)
