ONO @ Heaven

Tonight is the final show of ONO (One Night Only, and yes this is a band name) autumn tour. Show began with special guest band; and this is why I like going to all those small live show, to know other new creative band. To me, gig is really about the moment, the actual vocal sound, no fancy touching through super hi-tec sound system. It is about the GOOD voices. I'm not gonna deny I first notice the band because vocalist George Craig did some modelling for Burberry plus the band got Emma Watson for the music video. However, the music and George's voice got me right away. His good English accent of vocal is really the charm to me; the music is also British rock style; light with the spirit.
This is the second gig of them I have seen in half year, I would say this is a quick improvement. (Especially the speed of setting up, if you have been to any gig, you'll know what I mean.) The atmosphere between the band and fans is so much fun. He enjoy as much as the fans do; a lots sing along, and stage jump at the end?! Wow, that made the night!

Numbers don't always win

Kelis 'Scream' music video is out. and looking at it, all I can comment is SERIOUSLY?! what are you doing with all those outfit? Not that the outfits are wrong, it's what is going on in the video is SO WRONG. I am a Gaga fan but I'm not saying this just to blindly support her. It really seems to be, after Gaga, everyone, well maybe not everyone, but mostly female singers try to look like Gaga. What is the biggest image of Gaga, FASHION, so girls just pull out whatever outfit they can get a hand on and dress them all up in a music video. I really don't that is a  good idea. Dressing up like 100 outfits in a 4 minutes video doesn't make you a fashion icon.
I'm not being like against Kelis, but this is really annoys me. How come it can be such a pain to watch all those great hats and shoes kind of destroyed in this.

2010 MTV Video Music Awards

When music channel come to the point of way too many that you can't even count them all, how MTV still remain it's status? I have been thinking about it for a while, even thought I've talk to my boss about how crappy all those music they're playing on TV, I ended up watching the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA). First of all, because I am curious about Lady Gaga with the meat. (yea, RAW MEAT). Secondly, it does have some nice performance from time to time.

I got to admit that this is the bit I shout out cute! Thought I wonder does the DJ feel comfortable at all. It also remind me about one of the headpiece from Piers Atkinson's AW08 collection.

Mickey got a brother maybe?

There are so many horrible music video nominated through out the night, but Florence And The Machine sort of save the night, to me at least. Some live performance feel good watching it live, but some are better on TV. By shooting from above, it gave the best angle for the performing layout.

She does look like some sort of goddess in a ancient worship ceremony; especially with that epic voice and a dress flowing like that.

So, I already know Lady Gaga dress in meat, the only thing I don't get is, she SIT in it? (That's when Usher's OMG come in the background.OMG is not even enough, OMFG?!) I have seen ANTM done photo-shoot as model dress up in meat so did Gaga for the latest issue of Vogue Hommes Japan, meat for a shoot, I can handle it, actually wearing it? I'm not too sure about it. But that is also the thing makes me like Lady Gaga, she is truely crazy about creativity and fashion. You can see any pop star go mad with dress in concert and music video, but you never see one dress up so 500% and 24/7! Can you imagine the time and effort she put in for those look? She is like a surreal figure all I can say. Well done the Haus of Gaga.

The Pretty Reckless @ O2 Academy Islington (London)

Little J, Taylor Momsen, no matter what you call her, she's definitely one of the most talked about girl at the time. At the age of 17, she already made a success in both acting and singing career.Currently in tour with her band The Pretty Reckless, they did a performance last night (19th, Aug 2010) at the O2 Academy Islington.
Despite the endless waiting and it was a real quick and short show; I would say I enjoy it. You got to admit it is the power of Gossip Girl to bring her name across the world, but you can't deny she does have some talent in rock music. When she sings, I bet most of us in there actually enjoy the music and her singing instead of seeing it as a fan chasing celebrity activity. It's pure rock last night, not pop star acting rock try to look cool. She did the best at the song My Medicine, everyone sang with her and so did I. I was shock when I first hear how she sing this song, all I feel is rock n roll. So doesn't matter she is acting way order her age which isn't really match or how she style herself like high class hooker, I like how her rock n roll singing and music.
