Loving Andrej Pejic.01

I'm sure we all know who he is (yes, HE! and if you don't know, please google it, NOW!) The talk of the moment, the new star of the fashion industry, the gender bender Andrej Pejic! I can not use enough words to describe how much I like him. It's not just about the wow effect he's bringing to the industry, he really works the look so perfect I just love what ever he's modelling. I'm hoping to do a big series of drawing on him. Andrej Pejic, you're my muse, haha!

Illustration for Derek

Can't believe I'm doing my freelancing already just one week after hand in; but it keeps up the energy, I like it this way. This piece is a illustration version for stylist Derek Leung.

A.McQueen Fall 2011

After all these busy time, I can finally sit down, relax and draw. In Paris Fashion Week, Sarah Burton surely proofed that she can handle McQueen legacy. The cutting, ruffle, lace and decorative details are all impressive. I'm in love with the collection!

effing Valentine's Day

When every...couple is so exciting about the so-called romantic Valentine's Day, the only important thing I look forward to in February is actually fashion week. Under a week time, London Fashion Week will be on, and I'm so exciting about it, 'cause I like winter clothes instead of summer. I sort of have a thing about jackets and hats (why do you think I work for the great milliner Piers Atkinson? He's funny and good to work with and he makes beautiful hats!!)
Back to the points, for those who has a valentine, get a room, please. It's actually annoying to see people stick together on street. Not because I don't have a valentine, I don't even want one. I'm too busy for my final major project that I don't even have to time to care if there's someone cares about me. Plus, dating involved a lot of money spending, I rather spend more cash on me than on someone else.

sneak peak A-Z

Freakie (in Rachel Zoe fall 2011 RTW) & Fluffie  enjoying their afternoon tea.

FMP (final major project) is one bitch. The time is just seems not enough, not to mention I need to finish earlier because works need to be printed as books. I enjoy spending my time developing Freakie, though the process is pain in the arse. As this whole branding thing seems to go on and on, I just come up with this idea that I am doing a A-Z book in Freakie version!(you know, those books you learn about A for Apple while you're kid.) It's straight forward to expressing her love & hate; even better than a comic of her! And who can tell this idea clicked while I'm writing my grocery shopping list. LOL

the evil comes to live

This is not happening if you ask me one week before. Not that I don't want to bring Miss Freakie to live, it's she is giving me horror vision just to think about the process. Damn right, after pining myself uncountable and poke-my-eye-out tire hand sewing. Miss Freakie is alive!! To celebrate, I think I should give her the last name, which is....yes, quite uncreative, Evil. So Miss Freakie Evil is here, naked (Fashion emergency is on?) Despite the stressful concentration needed for this, I actually think this is so much fun! So, what's next? Damn right, I'm gonna bring Freakie to live, and in live scale! hooray....let's see how long will it take?

Got to admit that I really am a moody drawer; I sometimes want to burn my sketchbook to ashes when I'm not feeling the drawing. Luckily, so far in this so important final year, this just only happen like few times. A unique style of drawing is the main selling for every illustrator, as far as I remember, I worry too much in the past so I cannot let the drawing flow. But hey, fuck it. I really like my pencil, colourless drawing; I kinda like it soft as well, like it is the only soft moment I would have in my life. You know, angry person needs a way to let go. And I like my ghostly girl, so what.

Searching my style

After a nice and full dinner, my drawing mood suddenly gone way up high for no reason. Anyway, I wanted to draw, something, the easiest way is, flip open Vogue Italian, and the first ad I saw - Dior, classy. I've been having some comment on my uncertain style of illustration, well it's true in a way. Though I notice there's always something given or taken in my drawing; never completed lines, big head, and basically there's not complete shape of any part of a body. I wonder if it's my childhood with horror movies doing this, I like to see things in an incomplete presentation style? That maybe a lead, think I should work on that, who knows if I might develop a twist glamor? (And sorry, scanner is not working ATM, so here's the cheap looking shot of the drawing.)
